to be more specific, have you ever seen any angels or spirit creatures, been made aware of their presence in any way, interacted with or communicated with them, or had dream/visions...etc?
Not necessarily, Rocketman....I'm speaking of anything....such as, .... seeing angels, spirit creatures, being made aware of their presence in any way, interacting or communicating with them, visions, etc.....sorry I didn't make that clear, RM..

the scriptures are some of the oldest books in the world known to man with dates included now how do you suppose that can be, that these books have survived this long, many thousands of years ?
hmmmmmm i don't see any other book on the shelf as long as this book not even any other history book as far as that goes, now i wonder why a book that supposedly is nothing more than a lie or uninspired as some of you put it would survive that long.
i wonder how christianity has lasted as long as it has if it is all just a lie.

I don't believe it's totally lies, nor uninspired, but I've examined it enough to realize that there *are* definitely fallacies in it's contents and that the inspiration is more than likely human greed for power and dominance(IMHO)..... gotta go to work soon.....but i've been mulling this one over and can't come to any logical conclusion(s) on my own, so i'm asking for yall's thoughts on the subject..... .
to begin with, from years ago, i've seen several persons talk about the probability of an illness or a possible catastrophe befalling them....only to seemingly "talk themselves into" being actually ill or the catastrophe actually befalling them.....i've also observed people, who are avid church-goers and bible readers, have "spiritual" experiences which actually validate their beliefs.....and i've read psychological info which proposes in so many words that things can occur in a person's life according to what they believe will occur.....that positive thoughts and actions attract positive outcomes and, likewise, negative thoughts and actions attract negative outcomes.....i have also had the experience from being in the borg and studying so much bible knowledge that it became too real and that what bible writers had written began to take affect in my own life for a while......but i also now see the obvious faults in what was written in the bible.....also, people who believe in buddha, voodoo or any other faith/practice seem to see the results come true for them as they are taught to believe the results will come...... .
so.....i'm wondering.....1. could it be probable that a person could contrive and believe and act on just about anything and see results according to what they have contrived to be true, acted on and believe?

Jackie, it's funny....I wasn't looking for answers when I stumbled onto the borg, but they convinced me that I needed to know "all"....that's been the most difficult thing to undo....the obtaining of all that bible knowledge, most of which is faux.....I'm still cleaning out my mental "files"...LOL!

ok, lee and i rented a nice little house from a sweet couple for over two years when we lived in tn.
it was the only good thing about tn.
we had nice neighbors and wonderful landlords.
I agree with Been There for the most part.....you might advise the neighbors to gather concrete evidence of their allegations against those tenants and present it to the landlords so that the *landlords* can take the proper action with the police/court system and evict the tenants if necessary, in order to show respect for the landlords and preserve peace in the neighborhood, by allowing the landlords to protect their ownership of the property, for their property can, indeed, be confiscated by the Feds in a drug bust, if they haven't been made aware of the problem and taken the opportunity to take action against the tenants. It's the neighborly thing to do in this case.

have you ever had your eyelid twitch uncontrollably?
it's driving me crazy.
it's been going on over a year.
Big Tex, those here that suggested calcium are right on the money, cher! Any muscle twitch/spasm can be alleviated by calcium, which is more easily absorbed into your system when taken with magnesium....so a calcium/magnesium combo, which you can purchase rather inexpensively at HEB here in Texas, is a pretty quick solution....

does anybody know how long it takes for one to get re-instated if you are not that well liked by the body of elders?
i was disfellowshiped for immorality almost 2 years ago.
with my job and attending college to keep in step with my field of work, i have only been attending the sunday talk & wt meeting every week.
Usually no less than a year.....and that's only if you are showing them that you are sincere in your desire to return to the "fold"....by regular meeting (all of 'em) attendance.....
